PUPILS put on a display of music, dance and drama at an open evening at St Anne's RC Primary School, Blackburn.

Headteacher Stephen Nicholson welcomed the Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen Coun Salas Kiani, as well as the chairman of governors Catherine Hope and representatives from Blackburn with Darwen Council's education department.

Mike Humphries, headteacher from feeder school Our Lady and St John's RC High School, was also present.

During the course of the evening, parents were invited to look round the school. They also enjoyed watching pupils demonstrate their skills, including using the internet in the computer suite.

The Muddy Team, the school's environmental group, spoke about their community work and the religious group, Legion of Mary, talked about their visits to elderly people in their own homes.
