A MAN who had failed totally to respond to community service orders was sent to prison for six weeks.
Manzar Khan, 28, of Elm Street, Little Harwood, Blackburn, had been convicted of three breaches of community service orders, one of them for 20 hours imposed for breaching a community service order.
Stipendiary magistrate Jonathon Finestein said Khan had not done any work on the orders since 1998.
"You have blatantly ignored these orders and people who do that can expect to go to prison," said Mr Finestein.
The orders were originally made for driving while disqualified and failing to surrender to custody.
