BLACKBURN Lions Gala chairman was presented with a top award at a charter evening at the Swallow Hotel in Blackburn.
Blackburn Lions marked their 37th anniversary with the presentation of the Melvin Jones Gold Award to chairman Grahame Threlfall of Lowerfield, Langho.
Grahame has been a member of the Blackburn Lions for the past 17 years and received the award from District Governor Bill Miller.
Melvin Jones founded the Lions Club International in 1917 and the award is presented for generosity, compassion and concern for others.
Alan Kenyon, spokesman for Blackburn Lions, said: "Grahame has been incredible in raising funds and he puts in many hours of hard work. He really deserves this award."
