A PENSIONER has died more than three weeks after suffering serious injuries in a road accident near her home.
Police said Doreen Yates, 75, of Mallard Place, Oswaldtwistle, stepped out on to Union Road from between parked vehicles and was thrown up on to the bonnet of a Vauxhall Corsa on January 12.
She suffered a severely broken right leg and head injuries, and died at home on Saturday.
