SIXTY workers at Burnley engineering company J F Turkington are working their notice after being declared redundant by the company.
And at Nelson the Christmas cracker factory Unique Images, formerly known as Delgado, has closed with the loss of 200 seasonal jobs and 50 full-time posts.
Turkington, headed by leading local businessman and Burnley FC director John Turkington, announced last month that 80 workers would have to go - over half the workforce - because the firm had to cut costs because of reduced demand.
Just before Christmas, Unique Images, part of American greeting cards giant Hallmark, said it was moving production to Bradford from its Nelson factory in Pendle Street.
The firm made 30 million crackers a year, along with wrapping paper and other festive decorations for High Street stores and supermarkets.
