AN angry mum who awoke to find police in her house and allegations being made against her, lunged at an officer.
Burnley magistrates heard how Donna Duckworth, 25, started hitting the officer. She was told to behave but did the same thing again. She had been drunk.
Duckworth, of Branch Road, Burnley, was bound over in the sum of £50, for six months.
Mark Williams, defending, said Duckworth's former partner had alleged she had "abandoned" her child, who was sleeping on the settee. He had made a number of complaints, but the Social Services were satisfied the youngster was being properly looked after and brought up properly.
He added Duckworth lost her temper when she was woken up by officers and a man who had made allegations against her in the past was in her front room, smirking at her. She had spent a night in the cells.
