BUDDING ballerinas Mary Green, left, and Tierney Heap, both aged six, were among dozens of young dancers who performed a dazzling variety of routines during the second weekend of the annual Hyndburn Dance Festival.
The event, which was held over two consecutive weekends at Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre, attracted dancers from across the North West as well as members of Accrington Dance Academy, East Lancashire Dance School, Burnley, and the Debra McLaren Dance School, Rawtenstall.
Competitors performed an average of seven dances over the two weekends, and scored points for individual awards in five age-group categories. They danced in a range of styles, including ballet, tap, modern, Greek, cabaret, and song and dance.
