FIVE children and two adults escaped unhurt as a bedroom fire began in a house in Grey Street, Daneshouse, Burnley.
Firefighters managed to contain the fire within the one room but most of the first floor of the house was smoke damaged.
They believe one of the children had been playing with matches in the room and had set fire to clothing in a wardrobe.
The fire spread very quickly and severely damaged the bedroom.
The adults were downstairs when the fire began. The children, aged from three upwards, were playing upstairs.
