A DISQUALIFIED driver who was almost twice the drink-drive limit has been jailed for four months.
Robert Jackson was also banned from the road for five years by Blackpool magistrates.
Jackson, 45, of Cameron Street, Burnley, admitted driving with excess alcohol, without insurance or MoT, disqualified driving and obstructing police.
Prosecutor Barbara Johnston said on January 21 the defendant was stopped on the resort's Fleetwood Road. A breath test was positive.
Inquires revealed he was also banned from driving.
Jackson's defence said he was visiting Blackpool with his girlfriend. She started feeling unwell, so he drove the car.
