NICKY Taylor scored the only goal of the game to give Bacup Borough the points at Daisy Hill.
Taylor's winner came after he received a superb pass from the left. He side-stepped the defender and rounded a central defender to slot his shot into the corner of the net.
Borough's other hero was keeper Adam Potts, who was in fine form in an end-to-end game.
Bacup had the best of the first half with Taylor and Damian Moran showing well down the flanks.
They were ably supported by forward Karl Stanley but before the interval they could not find a way through the Daisy Hill defence.
In the second period Daisy Hill came more into the game but Taylor stunned them.
But Bacup's Stuart Farnell almost doubled the advantage with a well-timed a header that just grazed the crossbar with the Daisy Hill keeper well beaten.
Bacup were now cruising along taking the game away from Daisy Hill to try and increase their lead.
