A LORRY driver pushed his partner around the house and told police they would have to lock him up if they wanted him to leave.
Burnley magistrates heard how Carl Peter O'Brien, 24, said it was all his girlfriend's fault and called her a bitch.
O'Brien, of East Street, Rawtenstall, was bound over in the sum of £100, for 12 months, after admitting breaching the police.
Claire Fanning, prosecuting, said O'Brien and his partner had been living together with their seven-month-old baby, but the relationship had begun to deteriorate rapidly.
O'Brien had been verbally abusive and violent and pushed her around the house as a row developed. He prevented her from leaving the house, but she left the baby and went to alert police.
Nick Dearing, defending, said O'Brien had just returned from Scotland and had been working for nearly 24 hours. He accepted he was abusive to his partner and had put severe strain on the relationship by his behaviour.
