POTENTIAL buyers of a water tank in Wilpshire have been flooding in to a Clitheroe estate agents.
Russell Anderton, director of the Ribble Valley offices of Bradford and Bingley Entwistle Green, said he had been inundated with inquiries about the property (pictured), which could be transformed into a unique home.
The concrete tank, which is set in two-thirds of an acre of Ribble Valley countryside, is on the market for £150,000 and has evoked massive media interest up and down the country.
Mr Anderton said that he had been swamped with potential buyers, but a sale has not yet been finalised.
"It's a very unusual building and we are looking for a very unique buyer, it's a bit like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
"I'm pretty sure that we are going to get something from it now," he said.
The tank was originally bought to supply a former hospital, but could be turned into a home for about £100,000.
Plans have been drawn up by Cheshire-based Goldfinch Projects, which show the tank converted into two floors with a large circular lounge area and separate bedrooms and the firm has secured outline planning permission from Ribble Valley Borough Council for its conversion.
