I FEEL like an expectant father at the moment, Pride of Whalley is due her second foal by Paris House today, and I will not be far away from the phone.
Her first foal was by Noble Patriarch and is called LastoftheWhalleys and is in full training with Kevin Ryan.
She will not be a world beater but, for a first foal and if she's got a heart half, as big as her mother she could surprise us. I am hoping the phone call from the stud at York informs us it is a grey colt just like his dad Paris House.
At Lingfield tomorrow, Blackburn jockey Carl Lowther should win on the David Barron trained Chalcedony who was very impressive at Southwell last time out and the Lowther-Barron team are in cracking form.
On Thursday at Wolverhampton I go nap on Les Eyres' Ring of Love. This horse is in cracking form and with Tyrone Williams on board, Ring of Love should win for us again. On Friday at Southwell I am once again going for the David (Dandy) Nichols trained horse Brandon Magic. This horse spent the winter with Kevin Ryan and I fed him Polos every day so I am expecting some return on the Polos I fed him with a good each way price on Friday.
Tips for the week
Wednesday: Lingfield - Chalcedony (nap).
Thursday: Wolverhampton - Ring of Love (nap); Dr Edgar (EW).
Friday: Southwell - Brandon Magic (EW nap); Happy Lady.
Saturday: Lingfield - Boldly Cliff (nap); Haydock - October Mist; Catterick - Up the Clarets (EW).
