A PLASTICS firm has taken delivery of two state-of-the-art machines to deal with work created by winning major new contracts.
The £75,000 investment is part of a on-going expansion programme at injection moulders M&G Plastics Ltd of Progress Mill, Marsh House Lane, Darwen.
This latest increase in sales, which includes making connectors from Ireland, has led to the creation of five new jobs.
The success coincides with the appointment of a new director and shareholder at the company. Greg Smith, 31, who has an honours degree in manufacturing, joined as works manager in 1994.
He lives with his wife Heather in Darwen.
