A HEAD teacher is asking neighbours to watch out for vandals after pupils created a wildlife corner at St Joseph's RC Primary School, Stacksteads.
In the past the school grounds have been hit by vandalism and fly-tippers.
Head Mrs Margaret Donnelly said: "A considerable amount of money has been spent to make this project possible.
"We are asking neighbourhood residents to keep a watchful eye and contact the police if they see any vandalism or people using the grounds as a tip.
"This will help us to ensure the area is kept as an attractive, well maintained school facility."
