A DAD found to have counterfeit cash may end up in jail.
Burnley magistrates said custody was the normal sentence for the offence and told Nigel Cronshaw that was what they were thinking of.
Cronshaw, of Derby Street, Colne, admitted possessing counterfeit notes and his case was adjourned until February 28 for reports.
Andy Robinson, prosecuting, said police searched Cronshaw's home and found six fake Scottish £10 notes.
Rif Parveen, defending, said Cronshaw had made full and frank admissions. The notes were given to him and Cronshaw was supposed to keep them in a safe place. He never intended to use them and apologised for the offence.
