FUND-RAISERS who saddled up for a 10-mile horse ride in Pendle in aid of a local charity handed over the proceeds at a Nelson stables.
Maureen Hatton, who runs Roodlebats Stables, off Brunswick Street, raised £550 by staging the sponsored ride between Christmas and New Year and by organising a concert last month at the Carlton Club, Nelson.
Yesterday Maureen presented the proceeds to Hospice Care for Burnley and Pendle.
Hospice fund-raising assistant Kaye Bartle said: "We are extremely grateful to Maureen for all the hard work she put in to organising both the sponsored ride and the concert."
