PAUL David Donlin's bare-faced cheek got him arrested as he walked home in the early hours of the morning.

Police saw him stand in the road, pull down his jeans and bare his behind in their direction. And Blackburn magistrates heard that traffic was forced to stop because of his antics. Donlin, 18, of Newton Street, Blackburn, was given a conditional discharge for six months and ordered to pay £55 costs after pleading guilty to being drunk and disorderly.

Wendy Shackleton, prosecuting, said that after the first exhibition, Donlin walked on but then repeated the performance as police approached.

Basharat Ditta, defending, said Donlin did not make a habit of dropping his trousers in public. "It was brought on by drink and he apologises," he said.
