LEIGH RU crashed out of the Lancashire Trophy at Blackburn, going down 41-29.
And it was all down to a big give-away - allowing tries at the beginning and end of an entertaining match.
From 14-0 down Leigh hit back with TDs from Mark Hudspith 2, Phil Lester and Ross Fletcher, who raced in from 50 yards.
Another try from Fletcher brought the sides level, but Blackburn's late surge took the tie.
Chris Travers took the MoM award while Paul Whitworth had a fine game, standing in at scrum-half.
The U13s beat Littleborough 42-5 with tries from Glover 2, Vernel 2, Pirrie, Martin, Orrell and Taylor (his first of the season).
