NURSES' leaders pledged to fight for more money following the national pay awards.
The Government announced rises of one per cent for nurses with the remainder of their pay rise to be set by individual hospital trusts.
And unions reacted angrily to news that some teachers in the county would have to lose their jobs following the Government's refusal to fund pay awards.
