REGARDING my plea (Letters, January 27) about the recent TV programme about Stanhill and Knuzden during the war, may I say a big thank-you to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph and its readers.
From 5pm on the day my letter was published my phone never stopped ringing. People were calling from all over East Lancashire with offers to lend or give me a video recording of the programme.
Also, may I say how nice it was to talk to you all in my own language, as it were.
