POLICE have issued a plea for help from the public in stopping a series of garage break-ins in Burnley.
From a garage at Westbourne Avenue South a Bosch power drill, a power driver, a jig saw, an angle grinder and a sander, together valued at £440, were taken.
A man's Lanutti mountain bike, a CD player and a Black and Decker drill, together worth £320, were stolen from a garage at Hillside.
A man's green mountain bike, a trolley jack still in its box and a quantity of tools, together worth £400 went missing from a garage in Rossendale Road.
And a power washer worth £350 was taken from another garage in Rossendale Road.
Most of the break-ins were overnight on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
Detective Sgt Steve Mounsey said: "We ask people to be vigilant.
"If we get reports of people hanging around looking suspicious we have a better chance of catching the thieves."
