ELMSLIE Girls School in Blackpool is opening the doors of its junior department later this year to welcome boys fully into the ranks.
Elmslie already has a thriving co-educational nursery which has just received a glowing report from OFSTED.
After consultation with parents, governors of Elmslie school have decided to build on this success and extend provisions for boys until the age of eleven. In addition to this they have reduced the price of an Elmslie education in the junior department to £2,000 for the next academic year, so that all children and parents in the local community can benefit from the school.
Launching the new offer, school head Susan Woodward said: "I am delighted about such positive changes. We are looking forward to welcoming boys until the age of eleven. "
