ACTION may be taken by a Prestwich mum against owners of a children's attraction.
Mrs Nicola Aktaf had to cradle her three-year-old son Kamuran in her arms for 15 minutes after he became stuck in a slide at Pilsworth's Wacky Warehouse on Sunday afternoon (Feb 6).
The youngster's leg and back became wedged at the top of a covered slide and its plastic housing when he slipped and fell into the tube. Staff at the Pilsworth Road fun centre were unable to release the stricken child and the fire brigade were called to free him.
Mrs Aktaf, of Roman Road, Prestwich, said: "You would expect that with all the safety checks these places must undergo, accidents like this should not happen.
"However, there was a gap between the slide and its entrance which my son fell in between.
"He could have broken his leg."
Kamuran was released without injury by fire fighters from Whitefield who had to crawl through the play equipment to reach him.
Sub Officer Andy Cropper said: "The only way to free Kamuran was to take him out the way he came in. It took only a matter of minutes to free him but he was quite tearful."
The manager of the Wacky Warehouse refused to speak to the Bury Times about the incident. Mrs Aktaf said: "I will be speaking to my husband before deciding whether to take the matter further."
