YOUNGSTERS chose their own novel ways to celebrate the new millennium.

Pupils at St James' Primary School, Blackburn, devised a magnificent millennium concert that looked at the past, present and future.

Reception class pupils dressed up to perform party songs including Agadoo and the Birdy Song.

Year two children performed the story of the Fire of London and year five pupils made puppets for a puppet show.

Year four and year six pupils joined together to celebrate music, dance and costume through the ages.

And year three children made millennium tapestries while their pals in year one held a Victorian school day for their parents to visit.

Even the teachers took to the stage to perform the Timewarp from the Rocky Horror Show.
