LUCK smiled on the Haworth family when they took part in a draw to support a children's hospital.
John and Milly, of Cecilia Road, Feniscliffe, Blackburn, won a meal for two at Northcote Manor Restaurant, Langho, when the draw was made at the Station Hotel, Preston Old Road.
And within minutes, daughter Mandy won a trip in a stretch white limousine.
So they put the two prizes together and travelled to Northcote Manor in high style. The contest was organised by landlady Christine Bramley and raised £1,000 for Pendlebury Chidlren's Hospital, Manchester.
Regulars started to raise money for the hospital after surgeons performed life-saving surgery on Aeron Hunt, whose Mum, Lisa, works behind the bar. They operated when he was one week old to remove a blood clot from his brain.
Mrs Bramley said: "He is six months old now and doing fine."
