EAST Lancashire bands Uncowboy and Necessary Elvis are attracting record industry interest together - so it's fitting that they'll share the bill at a show in Earby this week.
Necessary Elvis recently came to the attention of Bradford-based promotion company Rabbit Promotions.
Singer and guitarist JP Keenan told the firm that it would do well to check out fellow East Lancashire act Uncowboy, including JP's brother Lee on drums. Both bands played a private show at the Carlton Hotel in Burnley for the benefit of promoters and the gig led to Necessary Elvis meeting Stereophonics keyboard player Tony Kirkham.
They hope that Kirkham will take up his interest in the bands by watching them at a London showcase gig which is set to take place in the coming weeks.
The gig this Friday is at the Midas Club in Earby.
Ticket prices have yet to be decided.
