ANGLERS will meet with councillors at the end of this month to discuss plans to use Victoria Park lake for fishing.
Barrowford Anglers' Club has offered to pay Pendle Council £350 a year for at least three years for permission to stock the lake with fish such as roach, tench and carp and use it for coarse fishing.
Non-members would pay £1.50 a day to fish at the lake.
The proposals were discussed by the council's Nelson and Barrowford with Western Parishes area committees this week and a meeting has been called with the club on February 29 to discuss the idea further.
