BRIERFIELD youth Mohammed Latif appeared at Burnley magistrates court yesterday charged with the rape of a 15-year-old girl in November, last year.
His case was adjourned until April 5 for the results of forensic tests, which are expected to be complete by April 1.
Latif, 19, of Montague Street, was granted bail, on condition he does not enter Brierfield, keeps to a curfew between 6pm and 9am and does not interfere with or contact the victim.
The defendant, who the court was told has learning difficulties, was accompanied by his brother.
The 15-year-old girl was allegedly dragged into an alley behind shops in Colne Road, Brierfield, and raped on November 12.
