A THIRD man has appeared in court charged with the murder of disabled horse dealer Leslie Jackson 10 years ago.
David Neil Leek, 35, of Abraham Street, Blackburn, is jointly charged with the murder along with Mr Jackson's niece, Bernadette Meadowcroft, 30, of Haworth Avenue, Church, and Robert Atkinson, 36, formerly of Chester Close, Blackburn, but now living in Manchester.
Mr Jackson's battered body was found in his sheltered housing accommodation in Sussex Close, Blackburn, in November 1990. Police inquiries have continued ever since.
Leek was remanded in custody and all three will next appear at Preston Crown Court.
