SCHOOL leavers in the Rossendale area will have better facilities for training for life in future.
Rossendale MP Janet Anderson was guest of honour in Rawtenstall for the opening of a new training centre at Hurstdale House in Hurst Lane. The centre is operated by Training Development Services (North West) Ltd, which needing space for expansion, has taken over a former Benefits Office building.
A total of 200 young people have joined the training programme this year, ready to be pointed in the right direction for their working lives.
TDS is planning to expand even more with information technology training and evening classes.
