ALAN Miller's transfer to Blackburn Rovers should go through within the next couple of days.
Rovers have agreed a fee with West Brom for the experienced keeper who has now to finalise personal terms at Ewood and take the usual medicals.
They will pay an initial fee of £50,000, rising to £70,000 if he plays 30 first team games for his new club.
And Miller, who would have been out of contract at the end of the season and able to move on a Bosman free, is delighted with the deal.
He knows there will be fierce competition for places, with Alan Kelly holding down the number one spot and John Filan hoping to be fit again by summer, but he is ready for it.
"Blackburn is a great club and they are really going places," he said.
"It's a new challenge and I am looking forward to it.
"I have fond memories of Albion, the fans are fantastic and I am pretty sad to be leaving.
"B ut I have to look out for myself."
Despite a Sunday newspaper report to the contrary, West Brom have not asked for Marlon Broomes on loan. Broomes, incidentally, was described in the story as - a striker!
