FIREFIGHTERS spent a night tackling a fire in a barn containing 50 tonnes of straw.
Crews were called to Standridge Farm, Tosside Road, Slaidburn, near Clitheroe.
The barn was well alight when 20 firefighters from Clitheroe, Barnoldswick and Earby, backed by the fire brigade's incident support unit from Accrington, arrived.
Covering jets of water were set up to protect the nearby farmhouse and water had to be relayed half a mile from the nearest supply.
The fire was brought under control and firefighters spent all night damping down and making sure the blaze did not take hold again.
