THE East Lancs Skillcentre, in Eagle Street, Accrington, was to be shut down under the sell-off of the national Skills training Agency.
Forty-seven government-run Skillcentres based throughout the country, which provided a wide-range of training for private employers and the unemployed, were to be taken over in a management buy-out.
