A 21-YEAR-OLD man was due to appear before Burnley magistrates today charged with wounding following an incident in which a young man suffered a minor stab wound to his leg.
The alleged victim was walking through Burnley town centre in the early hours of Saturday when there was an alleged altercation involving a group of youths. Police searched the area and a man was arrested near Sainsbury's supermarket. A knife was found nearby.
Police inquiries into the incident are continuing.
