WORKERS at a popular East Lancashire tourist spot have been getting their hands dirty and making money for charity at the same time.
Staff at the Oswaldtwistle Mills complex have washed hundreds of cars to make money for the Marie Curie Cancer Care organisation.
The fund-raisers have spent the last two weekends washing cars and have raised several hundred pounds for the charity in the process. Each driver was charged £2.
Stephen Martindale said: "The weather improved on Sunday and it was our busiest day so far. We had several hundred people who wanted their cars cleaning."
Craig Blomley and Astrid Kammer are pictured hard at work.
