PEOPLE are being urged to don their trainers and take to the track for a charity fun run in Blackburn.
The event has been organised by the Rotary Club of Blackburn Borough and is supported by the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
It will be held at Witton Park, Blackburn, at 11am on March 26.
The course is four miles but older runners and those aged under 11 need only complete one lap. Everyone who completes the course will receive a certificate.
Organiser Ian Ibbotson said: "It is hoped to attract both dedicated and 'fun' runners. Entries may be as serious or as light-hearted as the entrants wish."
Proceeds from the event will go to the Blackburn and District Diabetic Association and other local Rotary charities.
Mr Ibbotson said: "There are 7,500 sufferers of diabetes in the district and the local association aims to help individuals with equipment and the resources they need to cope with their condition."
Entrants can run either individually or as a team. Entries cost £2 for adults and £1 for children.
Entry and sponsor forms are available from Prontaprint, 1 Preston New Road, Blackburn, and Ibbotson Construction, Forrest Street, Blackburn, telephone 01254 52411.
They will also be published in the Evening Telegraph before the event.
Entries must be in by March 18. A limited number of late entries will be accepted on the day, before 10.45am, at a cost of £3 for adults and £2 for children.
