DETERMINATION and selling yourself well are the keys to business success, according to celebrity chef Paul Heathcote.
And the Longridge restaurateur has named his father and grandfather as the role models who inspired him.
"My father and grandfather are both remarkable men who throughout their lives have overcome numerous obstacles to achieve personal success," said Paul, speaking at an event in Manchester.
"They both inspired me to work hard and have faith in my own abilities."
Paul said publicity had also been key to the success of Heathcote's and the sister restaurants in Preston and Manchester.
"You could be the best chef in the world but if the public do not know that you will never make a profit.
"Apart from kitchen equipment, the most important investment I made was in an Amstrad fax.
"This allowed me to operate the publicity machine which has fuelled the growth of the business."
