PUPILS from Year nine at Oakhill College, Whalley, spent time during lunch breaks and at home to knit dozens of woollen squares which had been made up into a large blanket ready to be sent off for the Rwanda appeal.

The class, 19 boys and girls, spent four months knitting the blanket and many of the youngsters had to learn to knit before they could start work.
