EMPLOYERS are being offered the chance to take on a student for the summer to help their business grow.
The Shell Technology Enterprise Scheme has already helped dozens of East Lancashire firms carry out specific projects ranging from introducing new production methods to carrying out market research.
The national scheme, managed locally by the Pendle Enterprise Trust, matches students or post graduates with companies.
Students benefit by gaining valuable work experience and the companies are able to use them to carry out projects at a fraction of the normal cost.
Staff at Pendle Enterprise Trust match candidates with companies for the projects which can last up to a year and cover subjects areas such as information technology, design and research.
Details of the scheme are available from Samantha Smallridge on 01282 698001 or pendleenterprise_trust@bleastlancs.co.uk
