SEMINARS to help firms get the most out of new technology are being staged over the next three weeks.
The events, being held on three dates in February and March, are being organised by the Government-led Information Society Initiative, which aims to encourage to make more use of communications technology.
"Not only will we be talking about the advantage of technology but we will be actually demonstrating this on a specially developed system," said Joanne Kozlowski, East Lancashire's ISI manager.
"We hope this will demystify for some how new techniques can help a company."
The seminar, titled Working Electronically, will include live communication links and take small firms through various business processes such as marketing and invoicing.
"No matter how small the firm, whatever its business or however high its turnover, technology can broaden commercial horizons, boost efficiency and level the playing field with major companies," said Joanne.
The morning and afternoon seminars will be staged on February 17 at Horncliffe Mansions, Rawtenstall, Turf Moor on March 8 and Ewood Park on March 10.
