EAST Lancashire Railway have received £4,600 Lancashire Tourism Partnership funding towards a £40,000 Rossendale Council scheme to extend the platform at Rawtenstall station.
The 60-metre extension will allow the terminus to accommodate mainline excursion trains. New lighting is also included.
