ENERGY firm Norweb is urging people to keep warm this winter by investing in insulation.
Glyn Trumper, the company's energy efficiency manager, said: "Poor insulation means you're paying for heat seeping out through the roof, walls, windows and doors.
"In some cases, up to 25 per cent of warmth in the home is lost through the roof alone. It's such a waste of money when the problem of poor insulation can be solved so easily.
"And it doesn't just make economic sense - by conserving energy you're helping to cut down on harmful greenhouse gases."
Simple money-saving measures include putting an insulating jacket round your hot water tank and draught excluders around doors and windows.
The Norweb energy efficiency advice centre offers help on freephone 0800 834550, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm.
