TWO families of knitted dolls are helping the Mayoress of Clitheroe raise cash for charity.
Mayoress Susan Yearing (pictured) is running a competition to find family names for the dolls, which were knitted by an elderly friend.
Whoever thinks up the winning names, to be decided at a coffee morning on March 4 at Clitheroe Town Hall, will win one of the families.
All proceeds go to the Imperial Cancer Research Fund.
Susan said: "At my coffee mornings, we usually have some sort of competition which raises a few pounds on the day, but these dolls are so detailed and so much work has gone into them I wanted to do something more." The Mayoress is visiting Clitheroe schools to invite youngsters to enter, and entries can also be handed in to Clitheroe Town Hall.
Entrants should write their chosen name, along with their own name and address, on an envelope containing a 25p entrance fee.
