DESPITE Labour's pre-election promises to half cruel tests in animal experimentation by 1998, latest Home Office figures reveal a drop of only four per cent in animal tests from 2.8 million to 2.7 million.
It is an abandonment by a party which claims to have animal welfare as a priority. How much longer must animals suffer unnecessary and useless experiments?
