CARAVAN group Barrons has announced record results.
The Chorley based firm sold more than £30million worth of caravans, motorhomes and accessories during 1999 - a jump of more than 50 per cent over 1998.
During the year the firm also bought Awning World which is based next to its own site in Coppull.
The company said the start to the current year had been good with 300 vehicles sold during January alone. The firm has also invested heavily over the past year in its internet site.
"The effort that everyone put in last year was superb and this is reflected in these figures," said David Hold, managing director.
"The complexion of the whole industry is changing as we enter the new millennium and the development of the on-line market is an important one for us."
