WORK at an animal sanctuary and a 50-mile hike carrying full camping gear helped 20-year-old Clare Prismall of the Cribden Venture Scouts gain a Queen's Scout Award.
She was presented with her badge by the Mayor and Mayoress of Rossendale, Coun Alan and Mrs Janet Neal.
Clare of Reedsholme Close, Rawtenstall, is a student at Manchester Metropolitan University where she is studying for a degree in food and nutrition.
She also works part-time at the Asda store in Rawtenstall.
Clare is pictured receiving her award from the Mayor and Mayoress of Rossendale.
