A MAN was due to appear before magistrates today charged with attacking and robbing a Blackburn pensioner.
Paul Moss, 29 today, of Stonyhurst Close, Blackburn, was arrested early yesterday by detectives investigating an assault on Eva Komorek, above.
The 88-year-old was attacked last Sunday afternoon at her home in Johnston Close, Blackburn. As a result of the assault Mrs Komorek had to undergo and operation on a broken hip at Blackburn Royal Infirmary. She also suffered cuts and bruises to her face. Moss is accused of robbery and causing grievous bodily harm with intent and was due to appear at Blackburn Magistrates Court.
