A SEMINAR aimed at getting cycling in Lancashire on track was a great success, according to Lancashire County Council.
The event, held at County Hall in Preston, attracted cyclists from all over Lancashire.
Delegates discussed the development of safer routes to schools and the planning and design of cycling facilities.
The council's highways chairman, County Councillor Richard Toon, said: "The county council is very keen to encourage cycling as an alternative to the car and as a leisure activity.
"It is important that we involve cyclists as we develop provision in Lancashire and work with them to bring improvements.
"The day was very successful and we covered a lot of issues. I hope that this conference marks the start of a successful and productive partnership between the county council and Lancashire's cyclists."
