AS an OAP on a fixed income, it behoves me to keep household accounts.
For the past few years, gas, electricity and water bills have shown a small percentage increase. Last year my council tax was three times the rate of inflation, while my miserable pension from this mean government remains inflation-linked.
I am now awaiting my next account while politicians still talk about "fairness".
